Over the course of my career I have encountered both bosses and leaders, and always - always the leaders are the superiors who are significantly more successful. I highly suggest new founders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs to understand the graphic below.

As we venture into the 4th and final quarter of the year, sales executives are facing the most intense weeks of their year. Quotas are made and/or missed by Q4 execution. With that, most are beginning to reap the benefits, or consequences, of a years worth of preparation. One of my favorite quotes is, “failing to prepare is preparing to fail.” For all my Q4 sales athletes, don’t be discouraged, it takes multiple touch-points before a successful sale.
Yesterday was Day 1 of my #30daystill30 campaign. In 30 days I will be turning 30, and it was important for me to reflect on the past but also focus in on becoming the best possible man I can become over the next 30 days. There are many things in life, which I want to refocus on, and what's interesting is that when I have my life in order - and by in order I mean the order of God, Family, Work, Self, it's amazing what happens.
Over the next 30 days I want to share with you motivations I have read, or pictures I have seen. Anything that could possibly have a positive impact on your day. Over the past few months I have learned more than ever that we receive much more by simply giving and treating people the right way. Simple respect, and gratitude will literally change the projection of someone's day. The title of today's post: Shake It Off and Step Up comes to us from Inky Johnson and yesterday's InkSpirations during the Swain Event. I know that if I can become more like Inky, develop more of his mindset throughout these next 30 days, then I will be well on my way to a successful #30daystill30. Life comes at you in many different directions. Most of the time we're sitting on the fastball, ready to tee off, but it's usually the unexpected curve that strikes us out. We all strike out. No one bats 1.000. And when you do inevitably strikeout, shake it off and step up. Step up to the challenge of being a better man. Learn why you struck out, understand the scenarios in life that impact you and step up. What will happen in life is that if you continue to shake it off and step up, you're going to look back and realize that your steps have put you on top. - As always, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @CarlEppolito - |
