I'm different. I won't lie, I march to the beat of a different drum, and often times when told to march I will either walk or run. I have a desire to meet people from all over the world and from all walks of life because I truly believe that we can learn from everyone... yes, everyone. I do not believe that people are weird, or crazy, we are simply different than one another.
There is a calming and a security when one follows the norms of society and I respect (and at times admire) the ability to be content with flowing through life, one simple stage at a time. I was not born with this trait. Someone once told me when you see a crowd of people going in one direction to turn around and go in the opposite direction. As human beings we have the power to make decisions, God granted every man with free will, and our ability to critically think separates us from all other species on Earth. Do not waste this incredible ability. Every decision in life is our own, and it is up to us to take responsibility for the choices we make, not to blame the outcome on the actions of others. I choose to create my own path, for destiny is a matter of choice - not chance, and in the game of life I would rather be a king... and not a pawn.
No, I do not want to be a pawn. I am choosing to create my legacy and head down a path much less traveled. A path of chasing the life God has intended for me and to use my talents to glorify his kingdom. At the end of the day we are faced with two choices, 1) To follow our dreams or 2) Work for someone who did. You make your own decisions. I know I am making mine.
